Instructions for abstract preparation
Abstracts should be written in English or author’s native language (latinic letters) with a complete translation to English, in Microsoft Word for Windows program, version 6.0 or higher. The abstract should describe the aim of the paper, the main results and a brief conclusion. Abstract text can be 1500 characters long, including spaces between words. Abstracts should not contain tables, charts, drawing, or such. Along with the abstract, list of up to five keywords, separated with commas, should be given.

Abstracts not written according to technical instructions given below will be returned to their authors for revision, so we recommend using the template which you can download here.

  • Layout size: A5
  • Margins: Top, Right and Left 2 cm, Bottom 1,5 cm.
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Title – sentence case, size 12 pt, bold, centered. The title should be precise, with a maximum of 100 characters not including spaces between words.
  • Authors (full names and surnames of all authors, without titles, in one line, separated by commas) should be written in sentence case, size 12 pt, centered. Institutional affiliation should be marked by a number in superscript behind each surname. If two or more authors are from the same institutions they are assigned the same number.
  • Address (name of company/institution, street name and number, city, country), should be written in sentence case letters, in italic, size 10 pt. Only the Contact person should have an email address in brackets, following the full address, in italic and underlined, without a hyperlink.
  • Abstract text should be written in sentence case letters, size 10 pt, with line spacing set to single and with justified alignment. Abstract text can be 1500 characters long, including spaces between words. The abstract should describe the aim of the paper, the main results and a brief conclusion. Abstracts should not contain tables, charts, drawing, or such.
  • Keywords (up to five) should be listed beneath the abstract.

To submit an abstract, tag the file with section letter (A, B or C) and surname of first author (e.g. B_Surname), and send it in digital form to the following e-mail address: konferencija@huszpo.hr by July 31st, 2019 with a note whether it will be an oral presentation or a poster.
Abstracts will be published in the printed and electronic (web) Book of Abstracts.

Instructions for oral presentation and PowerPoint presentation preparation
Please be aware that oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes.
Presentation should be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint program. Please follow these instructions for presentation preparation:

  • Presentation should be in English or bilingual – in author’s native language and English
  • Slide size: standard (4:3)
  • Presentations should not exceed 10 slides.

Instructions for poster preparation
A poster has to have the following dimensions: width 707 mm x height 1000 mm (standard B1 format).
The poster should contain the following information:
Name and surname of all authors, names of the institutions authors are affiliated with, contact details
Paper title
Abstract
Keywords
Posters must be prepared in English or be bilingual – author’s native language and English. When preparing the poster, author should keep in mind font size, legibility from approx. 1 m distance, poster color and design. It is recommended that more simplified graphic figures and photos are used.

Instructions for paper preparation
Papers should be written in English or author’s native language with a full translation to English, in Microsoft Word for Windows program, version 6.0 or higher.
We ask Authors to comply with the following technical instructions when writing their papers, and recommend using the template you can download from Paper-form-ENG.

  • The scope of paper, including text, tables, charts and figures (title, abstract and key words) has a maximum of ten pages. Pages are not numbered.
  • Page size: A4
  • Margins: Top 2 cm, Bottom 1,75 cm, Right and Left 3 cm.
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Paper consists of: title, full names and surnames of authors (in one line), full addresses of authors’ institutions, abstract, key words, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion and literature.
  • Title – sentence case, size 14 pt, bold, centered.
  • Authors (full names and surnames of all authors, without titles, in one line, separated by commas) should be written in sentence case, size 14 pt, centered. Institutional affiliation should be marked by a number in superscript behind each surname. If two or more authors are from the same institutions they are assigned the same number.
  • Address (name of company/institution, street name and number, city, country), should be written in sentence case letters, in italic, size 12 pt. 1 line is available for each address. Only the Contact person should have an email address in brackets, following the full address, in italic and underlined, without a hyperlink.
  • Abstract should describe the aim of the paper, the main results and a brief conclusion. It should be shorter than the Abstract submitted for the Book of Abstracts (700 characters is allowed including spaces). Up to 5 keywords, separated by commas should be listed below the Abstract.
  • Text should be written in 12 pt font size, single line spacing with justified alignment. Subtitles should be written in sentence case, bold, 12 pt font size, with left alignment. Paragraphs should be separated by enter key, not by indenting the beginnings with tab key. For separation, blank rows are used (font size 12 pt): before subtitles, between titled and authors list, between the list and author addressees, before table titles and after tables, before figures (photographs, maps, graphs, and similar) and after the figure titles.
  • Tables (width from left to right margin), and figures (photographs, maps, graphs, and similar) should be included in the text. Table numbers and titles should be written under tables. For content separation within tables, a minimal set of exclusively 0.5 thick horizontal lines should be used. Figures should also be numbered and described below the figures. To secure optimal graphic design, tables and figures, should be delivered separately in an appropriate format (*.xls, *tif or *.jpg). Tables and figures sources should be stated under each table and figures, using font 11 pt in italic. Sources should also be listed in the literature list.
  • Literature in the text should be marked by a number in square brackets (e.g. [1]) that matches the reference number in the literature list. In Literature list only used literature should be stated. Hanging indent should be used for the Literature list size 0,5 cm.
  • Example of quotation from magazine:
    [1] Surname N. (2003). Paper title. Full name of magazine. Volume (number): pages.

Papers will be reviewed by reviewers from the adequate professional field.
